Overview
The Psychiatry Prize is a small internal award at the University of Auckland, created in 2005 and funded by the Department of Psychological Medicine. It goes to a single MBChB Part V student each year, the one who earns the best overall grade in the Psychiatry component of the medical programme. There's no application process attached to it: the department simply nominates the top-performing student, and the University Council confirms the award on the Head of Department's recommendation.
